BURGLARY PATTERN —
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating an individual wanted in connection to a series of burglaries within the 102nd Precinct in late May and early June.
The first incident occurred around 6 a.m. on May 18 at the corner of Lefferts Boulevard and Metropolitan Avenue. The suspect used an unknown object to enter an apartment and remove jewelry.
During the second incident—which took place around 6:30 a.m. on May 29—the burglar entered a residential building at Lefferts Boulevard and Metropolitan Avenue and removed $40,000 worth of jewelry.
On June 5, the suspect removed $5,500 worth of jewelry after breaking into a residential building at 83rd Avenue and Kew Gardens Road around 1:15 a.m. The suspect broke into another building—located at 115th Street and 84th Avenue—that same day around 7:45 a.m. and stole $500 in Canadian currency, sunglasses and a watch. Then, around 3:30 p.m. that day, he stole $1,500 worth of jewelry from an apartment at 118th Street and 83rd Avenue.
The suspect is described as a black man with a medium complexion who is approximately 25 to 35 years of age, police said.
