Police are searching for a woman wanted in an assault that occurred on Feb. 27 between the Myrtle Avenue and Sutphin Boulevard subway stations.
Around 4:20 p.m., a 26-year-old woman and the suspect engaged in a verbal dispute that turned physical, police said. The suspect punched the victim in the face, and when the train entered the Jamaica Avenue subway station, she fled to parts unknown.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic woman with a light complexion who is believed to be between 16 and 20 years of age. She was believed to be five-feet-four-inches to five-feet-seven-inches and was last seen wearing a green jacket, dark pants, a dark hooded jacket and black and white sneakers, police said.
