Police said that they are still searching for an individual who shot two men in Springfield Gardens on May 14 and are asking the public’s assistance in tracking down the suspect.

Just after 8:30 a.m. on May 14, police responded to a 911 call regarding two persons who had been shot at 144th Avenue and 227th Street. Upon arrival, police discovered two men—38-year-old Robert Cuvilly, who had gunshot wounds to the head, and a 40-year-old with a gunshot wound to the torso. Both victims were transported to Jamaica Hospital, where Cuvilly was pronounced dead, while the other victim was listed in stable condition.

No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing. The suspect has been described as a five-foot-eight-inch to five-foot-11-inch black man who is believed to be between 21 and 35 years of age. He was last seen driving a two-door silver Mercedes Benz CLK 320 Series sedan with unknown New York license plates.
