A 66-year-old Brooklyn man was arrested in incident on April 9 during which a man was struck and killed by a vehicle in Ozone Park, police said.
Around 9:56 p.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle collision at South Conduit Avenue and 79th Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 44-year-old man with severe trauma to his head and arm. The man’s name has not yet been released by police. EMS transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital, where he died from his injuries on April 12.
An investigation discovered that a black 2011 Dodge Ram pickup truck was traveling eastbound on South Conduit Avenue when it struck the 44-year-old man, who was attempting to cross that street. Noel Bryan, who lives on Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn, was taken into custody at the scene after a computer check revealed that his driver’s license had allegedly been suspended. The investigation is ongoing.
