Staff Writer

After his first show in Queens sold out, Grammy Award-winning artist Chance The Rapper has announced a second show at the Forest Hills Stadium.

The rapper took to Twitter last week to announce that what was originally one stop in Queens during his Be Encouraged Tour is now one of two.

Tickets for the show went on sale on July 13 and are $75.

Both the Sept. 26 and 27 shows will feature pop musical project Francis and the Lights and rapper DJ Oreo as opening acts.

Chance the Rapper noted that his tour aims to uplift and empower other artists.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m.

While Chance The Rapper ends the Forest Hill Stadium’s summer roster, there are a number shows leading up to the Be Encouraged Tour.

Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers will take the Forest Hills Stadium stage for the band’s 40th anniversary tour with special guest Peter Wolf. The classic rock outfit is expected to perform some of its fans’ favorite hits—such as “Don’t Do Me Like That” and “American Girl”—from the group’s late 1970s records to its more recent work. The shows are on July 26 and July 27 at 6:30 p.m. and prices range from $49.50 to $165.

Interpol, a New York born punk band, will celebrate the 15th anniversary of its debut album “Turn On The Lights” by playing the entire record on the Forest Hills Stadium’ s stage on Sept. 23. Special guests will include Deerhunter and Battles. Tickets range from $50 to $90.

This summer’s concert series also included The Chainsmokers, The xx, The National, Sigur Ros, My Morning Jacket, John Mellencamp, Dispatch, Jack Johnson, The New York Pops, Daryl Hall and John Oates and Tears for Fears.
