Hashley Henry of Jamaica, a junior majoring in engineering and management, has been named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2015 semester at Clarkson University: Dean’s List students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and also carry at least 14 credit hours.

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Rhasheena J. Moore graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Moore is the daughter of Regina Moore of Far Rockaway.  She is also the sister of Sherman Moore, Latoya Robinson, and Jefferey Moore.

The airman graduated in 2015 from Aviation Technical High School, Long Island City.

U.S. Army National Guard Pvt. Shamon C. Cockrane has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Jackson, S.C.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.
Cockrane is the brother of Marcia N. Daley of Quincy, Mass., and Julia N. Hylton of Far Rockaway.

Major General Patrick A. Murphy, The Adjutant General for the State of New York, announces the promotion of member of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership.

Devindra Paltoo from Hollis, serving with the Company F (Forward Support Company Infantry), 427th Brigade Support Battalion is promoted to the rank of Private First Class. Ruel Riddle from Springfield Gardens, serving with the Company F (Forward Support Company Infantry), 427th Brigade Support Battalion is promoted to the rank of Private First Class. Shaevaun Morlis from Jamaica, serving with the 14th Finance Detachment is promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential.

Margaly Monelus of Laurelton, has been named to the Dean’s List at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham Campus, located in Madison, NJ. To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must carry a 3.2 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 letter-graded hours (four courses).

Adriela Inniss of Far Rockaway, has been named to the Honors List at Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Florham Campus, located in Madison, NJ. To qualify for the Honor’s List, a student must carry a 3.5 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 letter-graded hours (four courses).

Major General Patrick A. Murphy, the Adjutant General, announces the recent reenlistment of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their continuing commitment to serve community, state and nation as part of the Army National Guard.

Specialist Michael Polishuk from Far Rockaway, has reenlisted to continue service with the Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 1-258th Field Artillery.

Pvt. Nashekia Parkins from St Albans, was formally welcomed into 14th Finance Detachment during their transition ceremony on February 21, 2016 at the Jamaica Armory in Jamaica.

Spc. Derrick Deflorimonte from Rosedale, was formally welcomed into 1569th Transportation Company during their transition ceremony on February 21, 2016 at the Jamaica Armory in Jamaica.

Pvt. Chiwai Fok from Jamaica, was formally welcomed into Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 369th Special Troops Battalion during their transition ceremony on February 21, 2016 at the Jamaica Armory in Jamaica.

Pfc. Troy Bailey from Springfield Gardens, was formally welcomed into Headquarters & Support Company, 42nd Infantry Division during their transition ceremony on February 21, 2016 at the Jamaica Armory in Jamaica.

Pvt. Reagan Reid from Jamaica, was formally welcomed into Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1-69th Infantry during their transition ceremony on February 21, 2016 at the Jamaica Armory in Jamaica.

Spc. Kayann Stewartmangra from Laurelton, was formally welcomed into Company F (Forward Support Company, Infantry) 427th Brigade Support Battalion during their transition ceremony on February 21, 2016 at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Brooklyn.

Pvt. Julius Forde from Far Rockaway, was formally welcomed into Company C, 101st Signal Battalion during their transition ceremony on February 21, 2016 at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Brooklyn.

Pvt. Jonathan Guanabermeo from Springfield Gardens, was formally welcomed into Company C, 642d Support Battalion during their transition ceremony on February 21, 2016 at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Brooklyn.

The ceremony marks their completion of the National Guard Recruit Sustainment Program, a preparatory training program that provides new recruits with training, lessons and skills to excel at their initial military training.

The following student has been selected for inclusion on the Dean’s List for academic achievement during the Fall 2015 semester at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.

Sarah A. Heywood of St. Albans. Heywood is a member of the Class of 2018. She attended Queens Prep Academy.

To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must have completed at least four courses and have an academic average of 3.6 based on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

Darnel Rogers of Far Rockaway, was inducted into SUNY Oneonta’s Beta Eta Chapter of the Chi Alpha Epsilon national honor society during a ceremony on Feb. 17.

Darren Hall of Rosedale, who is studying in the electrical engineering technology program, made the Dean’s List at Rochester Institute of Technology for fall semester 2015-2016. Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean’s List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of “Incomplete”, “D” or “F”; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Over 900 students at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute were named to the Dean’s List for the Fall 2015 semester.

The Dean’s List recognizes full-time students who maintain grade-point averages of a minimum of 3.0 out of a possible 4.0 and have no grades below “C.”

The following Lafayette College students were named to the Dean’s List for outstanding academic achievement during the fall 2015 semester. Each student achieved at least a 3.60 semester grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
