People Of Southeast Queens: Jan. 19-25, 2018

SUNY Potsdam announced that it has named several Queens students to its dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester—including Jamaica’s Evernecia Porter (exploratory/undeclared major), St. Albans’ Tonii-Ann Davis (psychology major), Queens Village’s Evelyn Clark (criminal justice studies major) and Springfield Gardens’ Tremayne Brown (theater major), Corona’s Yonie Montes (business administration major), Sunnyside’s Toki Mukai (exploratory/undeclared major), Ridgewood’s Thupten Thupten (business administration major), Forest Hills’ Yousef Kashef (criminal justice studies major), Howard Beach’s Kristen Lazzinnaro (literature/writing major) and College Point’s Zikai Liu (biology major).

SUNY Potsdam has also added several Queens students to its president’s list for the fall semester—including St. Albans’ Anthony Skeete (a graphic design and new media major) and Kayla Boyd (an English and creative writing major); Rockaway Park’s Cortney Nelsen (a dance major); Flushing’s Ekram Bouzgarrou (an exploratory/undeclared major), Angie Li (a speech communication major), William O’Buckley (an English and creative writing major) and Gustavo Yepes (a biology major); Elmhurst’s Monica Montero (a psychology major); East Elmhurst’s Itzayana Ramirez (a speech communication major); Whitestone’s Ann Reeves (a community health major); and Woodside’s Danbi Yu (an English writing major). To make the list, students must obtain a 3.5 grade point average and complete at least 12 graded semester hours.

Nazareth College has announced that four Queens students have been placed on its dean’s list for the fall semester—including Hollis’ Malik James (who is studying legal studies), Jamaica’s Jessy Dwyer (who is studying accounting), East Elmhurst’s Angela Flori (who is studying modern foreign languages) and Middle Village’s Sabrina Herrera (who is studying occupational science). To make the list, students must complete at least 12 credit hours and obtain a 3.5 grade point average.

Rosedale’s Bruce Douglas has completed his graduate studies at SUNY Oswego with a master of business administration degree in management.
